A Traditional London Flu

No post's of late due to a dose of a traditional english flu which was unfortunately topped off last night with some traditional english food poisoning...anyway feeling heaps better today can now resume the job/flat hunt. Luke the go getter that he is has already found a job and a flat, at that rate I wouldn't be suprised to find him late next week with a car a wife and two kids..did manage to do a little touring yesterday in a place called "Ry" just south of London, have got some pictures so will post them soon, am supposed to be working on my CV at the moment so the photo work will have to wait till that is done. Hope everyone is well

St. Pauls Cathedral and Tate Modern...from the outside where we were allowed to take photos

The Tate Modern as viewed from the top of St Pauls Cathedral, was pretty different inside lots of real abstract art which combined with the crazy visual hallucination inducing jetlag that we were experiencing left us pretty drained. The bridge you see is the millenium bridge which takes us over the Thames

St Pauls cathedral was a pretty breath taking experience, absolutely huge with some amazing artwork inside. What suprised me the most that it was really more of a war memorial than a church with plenty of sculptures of old generals hand in hand with sculptures of angels, don't get me wrong have got nothing against war memorials but it was pretty clear that back in those days there was a pretty huge effort to intertwine war with doing gods work. I guess a pretty successful way for politicans of the time to convince their people to fight for them.

The Flight

As promised some photo's of the last day or so, am currently using Sapphira's flash notebook in her flat in Wimbledon, am browsing through the channels on Sky Tv up to channel 342 so far..nothing on really. They've actually got two channels devoted to live "Big Brother" feeds, incredibly boring if you ask me but from what I've read in the papers its still pretty big over here..despite Luke's requests I've also skipped over the Gilmore Girls and the Ashlee Simpson Show, have found a televised U2 concert would like to find some sport though...and by sport I mean rugby/cricket/league none of that crap soccer or golf.

Our plan today is the Tower of London. We wend to the Tate Modern art museum and St. Pauls Cathedral yesterday before having the jetlag get the better of us..and becoming hopelessly lost in some god forgotten place called Wandsworth. Luke was camera man yesterday so will interigate his camera and see what I can post up here, unfortunately no photos were allowed in the Tate or the Cathedral.

We've made it!

Am in a net cafe in Heathrow at the moment, we are in remarkably good spirits considering there were afew delays in the flights. The first leg from NZ to Brunei just flew by as contrary to what we were told there were personal tv screens for each passenger with a huge list of movies/cd's/games at our disposal in addition there were bugger all people on board so plenty of space to stretch out. Unfortunately all those luxeries were not applicable once we changed planes in Brunei, the plane was 30 mins late, it was cramped and plenty of kids to keep us awake, we thought that was pretty bad until we had what should of been a 30 minute stopover in Dubai, which ended up being a 3 hour stopover due to a head count not matching on the plane itenery, this meant that all our luggage had to be reexamined. Not sure whether there was a real security issue or if someone had just screwed the paper work somewhere, so we didn't get out of brunei till 4.30am on the plus side it was 30 degrees outside at the airprt so it was no means too uncomfortable, got heaps of photos will post them when i can find a cafe that'll let me. Our goal today is to find gregs, find the key to his house and try and stay awake till about 10pm tonight if possible...oh yeah we might even squeeze in a quick guinness if we can

...some creative licence was used in the publication of photos that either:
